Bishop Ronald L. Demery Jr. is the only child of the late Ronald L. Demery Sr. and the beautiful Barbara Demery-Johnson. He served and pastored the historic Bible Way Church of Washington, DC with a compassionate heart fueled by God’s divine Holy Spirit for 8 years. His authentic love for God’s people is observed in the way he ministers the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Bishop Demery attributes his spiritual formation to his parents and late grandparents, Apostle James, and Mother Vera Silver.
Bishop Demery has served the Body of Christ as Men’s Ministry leader. He was ordained a deacon in 2004. In 2006 at the 49th Holy Convocation of the Bible Way Churches Worldwide Minister Ronald Demery was ordained as an Elder in the Lord’s Church. As Elder Demery continued his service to the local church and pastored successfully, his Episcopal Consecration to the office of Bishop took placed on October 3, 2015. He was consecrated by his grandfather Apostle James Silver and Bishop Alphonzo D Brooks.
In September 2021 Bishop Demery and his wife, PastorLaShawn established a new church ministry for Jesus Christ, Christ Way Cathedral where souls will experience “Care With Compassion”.
Bishop and Pastor Demery have traveled extensively across the country ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Recently, they answered their global call to ministry and have established Christ Way Cathedral Ghana in Obuasi, Ghana West Africa in 2 locations.
Bishop Demery currently serves as a visionary Shepherd who envisions the Church as a holistic place of worship ministering to the complete person in mind, body, soul, and spirit. Bishop Demery majored in business management at the University of the District of Columbia and has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from Lancaster Bible College and Capital Seminary. He is pursuing a master’s degree from the same institution. Bishop Demery is married to his high school sweetheart, Lady LaShawn and they share three gifted children Aniya, James, Autumn-Jimmie and one Son-in-love Jordan Williams who are all actively involved in ministry.
